Workshops & Training

Talks, workshops, and half-day sessions on how to use AI to build things, for people who don't code.

What I Teach

I'm interested in what happens when creative people who've never programmed before start building software with AI. That's the focus of my PhD, and it's what my workshops are about.

Participants don't need any coding experience. They learn how to describe what they want to build, work with AI tools to generate it, and understand enough about what's happening to make good decisions along the way. By the end, they've built something real.

I also cover the things that don't get mentioned in most AI hype: where these tools genuinely help, where they'll let you down, what the risks are, and what you need to know before putting anything you've built in front of real users.

Formats

30-Minute Talk

An introduction to vibe-coding and AI-assisted development. I cover what it is, show examples of real projects built this way, and explain what it means for people who work in creative industries. Good for conferences, team meetings, and events where you want to get people thinking.

2-Hour Workshop

A hands-on session where everyone in the room builds something. I walk participants through the process of going from an idea to a working prototype using AI coding tools. The focus is on the prototyping mindset: describing what you want clearly, iterating on what you get back, and knowing when to push further versus when to change direction. Participants leave with a project they've built and enough understanding to keep going.

Half-Day Intensive

The deep dive. This covers everything in the 2-hour workshop but with more time for the things that matter most: prototyping workflows, evaluating what AI has generated, understanding the risks (security, accessibility, reliability), and building a complete project from scratch. There's space for individual attention, troubleshooting, and adapting to what participants are actually interested in building. This is the session I'd recommend if you want people to walk away genuinely capable of using these tools on their own.

Topics I Cover

  • Vibe-Coding Fundamentals — What it is, how it works, when to use it and when not to
  • AI Tools for Creatives — Practical overview of AI tools for code, text, image, and audio generation
  • The Compression Gap — Why AI gets you to a demo fast but production-readiness is a different story
  • Risks and Limitations — Security, accessibility, hallucination, and what to check before shipping anything
  • Custom Topics — Sessions tailored to your team's specific goals and industry context

Pricing: Free initial consultation. Session pricing depends on format, group size, and location.
