Workshops and training.

Talks, half-day workshops, and short cohorts on AI coding for non-technical creatives. Hands-on, in real codebases, with the risks named out loud.

What I teach

I am interested in what happens when creative people who have never programmed start building software with AI. That is the focus of the PhD, and it is what the workshops are about.

Participants do not need any coding experience. They learn how to describe what they want to build, work with AI tools to generate it, and understand enough about what is happening to make good decisions along the way. By the end, they have built something real.

I also cover the things that don't get mentioned in most AI hype: where these tools genuinely help, where they will let you down, what the risks are, and what you need to know before putting anything you have built in front of real users.

Formats

30 minute talk

An introduction to vibe-coding and AI-assisted development. What it is, examples of real projects built this way, and what it means for people who work in creative industries. For conferences, team meetings, and events where you want to get people thinking.

2 hour workshop

A hands-on session where everyone in the room builds something. I walk participants through going from an idea to a working prototype using AI coding tools. The focus is the prototyping mindset: describing what you want clearly, iterating on what you get back, and knowing when to push further versus when to change direction. Participants leave with a project they have built and enough understanding to keep going.

Half-day intensive

The deep version. Everything in the 2 hour workshop, plus more time for the parts that matter most: prototyping workflows, evaluating what AI has generated, naming the risks (security, accessibility, reliability), and building a complete project from scratch. Space for individual attention and troubleshooting. This is the session I recommend if you want people to walk away genuinely capable of using these tools on their own.

Topics I cover

  • Vibe-coding fundamentals, what it is, how it works, when to use it and when not to
  • AI tools for creatives, practical overview of AI tools for code, text, image, and audio
  • The compression gap, why AI gets you to a demo fast and why production-readiness is a different story
  • Risks and limitations, security, accessibility, hallucination, and what to check before shipping
  • Custom topics, sessions tailored to your team's specific goals and industry context
